About Me

My Story

IMG_8514 (1).jpg

Hi I'm Maryah Wilson. I am located in Chico, CA. I am married with two boys and two girly doodles! Since 2012, I have been working with moms and babies. In 2019, I became a Labor & Delivery Nurse. In 2023, I became an IBCLC. I have always enjoyed all aspects of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and lactation. It is AMAZING what our bodies can do! My passion for breastfeeding/lactation came after I had my first son. It would have been so nice to have someone come to me, rather than loading a baby up in a car. Since then, even when I was a Labor & Delivery Nurse, I Loved supporting and helping with lactation. Just because breasfeeding/lactation is natural does not mean it is easy! With my second son, I thought I had it in the bag when it came to breastfeeding since I nursed my first for over two years, but boy was I wrong! I needed help both times for completely different reasons. Each baby is different, each birth is different, and I would love to support you during your postpartum journey.

Verify Insurance and Schedule

I have partnered with The Lactation Network to bill/verify insurance and schedule consultations. Please see services below to get scheduled.

If you do not have insurance or want to pay out of pocket please contact me for cash pay.

Consultation Services

1

Initial Lactation Consult

I will work with you and your baby to discuss your breastfeeding goals. I will gather a health history involving pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. We will create the best care plan for you and your baby.

2

Follow up Consultations

I can follow up with you and your baby to assess how the journey is going and answer any questions you may have. We can determine what is working or what is not working and change the plan of care if needed. Did you know that insurance will cover 6 lactation visits and possibly more?!

3

Virtual Lactation Consult

If in person follow-up consults are difficult to schedule we can always do a virtual consult. I would love to do an initial consult in person but if this is unattainable then we can make this happen!
